Bits, Smoke & Trails is a public notebook for the things I build, break, fix, test, cook, print, smoke, ride, and occasionally overthink.

Most of it starts with technology: IT discoveries, AI experiments, automation notes, homelab lessons, troubleshooting rabbit holes, and small fabrication projects. But curiosity does not stay in one folder, so this place also wanders into BBQ, fishing, biking, food, travel, 3D printing, and whatever else seems worth writing down.

Part field notes. Part lab journal. Part trail of useful mistakes.

The notes here come from actual projects and experiments - the successes, the failures, and the occasional pleasant surprise that comes from trying something new.
